Randy Haberman

Randy Haberman, like Jim Watson, is a California native, born and raised in Burbank, California. He owns two 1932 Fords: a 3-Window coupe with a “tuned” Ford flathead engine that he’s owned since 1971, and a Victoria that is currently under construction and the focus of Randy’s current design and fabrication efforts.

With his two sons, ages 15 and 11, Randy is active in the Boy Scouts and leads Troop 270 in Frankfort, Illinois. He’s lived in the Chicago area since 1997 where he enjoys camping and hiking as well as off-road riding quads with his sons. They own two Honda TRX-90s and one Honda Quadsport 250.

Randy and Jim go way back– back to the old Weldcraft days when Jim was the Director of Manufacturing and Randy was the lead Mechanical Engineer and with their team came up with an innovative Plasma Arc Cutting Torch. Bottom line is that Randy Haberman is a world-class industrial manufacturing innovator and leader with extensive experience with start-ups, new product development, process reengineering, productivity improvement, and design engineering.

Randy started out with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. His broad background in manufacturing has taken him from working in aerospace and agricultural equipment to electron beam welding systems, and welding accessories. He also has several patents in his name.
