Rico Abreu: A Championship Season for the books

The 2025 Kubota High Limit Racing season wasn’t just about speed — it was about execution. Week after week, the margin for error was razor thin, and only one team proved they could deliver under pressure every single time.
That team was led by Rico Abreu. After years of hard racing, near misses, and relentless work behind the scenes, Rico Abreu closed out 2025 as the Kubota High Limit Racing Champion, securing both the Driver and Owner titles with his #24 team. It marked the first national Sprint Car championship of his career — and it was earned the same way welders earn trust in the shop: through preparation, discipline, and consistency.
That shared mindset is exactly why Arc-Zone is proud to stand behind Rico Abreu Racing.
A Season Defined by Consistency
From the opening races to the final checkered flag, Rico’s 2025 campaign was built on repeatable performance. The #24 team didn’t rely on luck or one standout night — they relied on process.
By season’s end:
- 20 total wins
- 13 Kubota High Limit Racing feature victories
- A commanding points lead when the championship was on the line
In racing, just like welding, results come from doing the fundamentals right — every time. Preparation in the shop translated directly to confidence on the track, and that consistency is what separated Rico from the field.
Arc-Zone x Rico Abreu: Built on the Same Principles

Arc-Zone’s partnership with Rico Abreu Racing has never been about branding alone. It’s about alignment.
Sprint car racing demands the same things welders demand from their tools:
- Precision
- Reliability
- Safety
- Attention to detail
- No shortcuts
In the race shop, fabrication quality matters. Fit-up matters. Prep matters. When tolerances are tight and failure isn’t an option, you rely on equipment you trust — the same way welders rely on pro-grade tools to get the job done right the first time.
That shared dedication to craft is what connects Arc-Zone to Rico’s championship run.
A Walk-Off Finish at Texas

The defining moment of the season came at Texas Motor Speedway, during the Bikini Zone All-In Championship Weekend.
Starting from the outside pole in Saturday night’s finale, Rico immediately took control. Lap traffic tightened the field. Pressure mounted. But the execution never slipped. When the checkered flag flew, Rico didn’t just win the race — he clinched the championship in dominant fashion.
The night delivered:
- A $50,000 race win
- A $250,000 championship payout
- Rico’s 20th victory of the season
- His 25th career High Limit Racing Victory Lane appearance
A championship sealed by preparation — not chance.
A National Champion
To cap it all off, Rico Abreu stepped onto the stage as a national champion for the first time in his Sprint Car career.
Long known as the most popular driver in the sport, Rico used the moment to thank the people who made it possible — his team, family, friends, partners, the series, and above all, the fans. It was a genuine moment that reflected who he is and how he races.
At Arc-Zone, that humility and gratitude resonate deeply. Welders know no job is done alone — success is built through teams, mentors, and trusted partners.
Excellence Behind the Scenes: Crew Chief of the Year

Championships are earned as much in the shop as they are on the track.
Crew Chief Ricky Warner was named Cometic Gasket Crew Chief of the Year, earning a $5,000 season award on top of $1,500 in bonuses after topping the Crew Chief of the Month standings in May, August, and September.
Together with Zack Middlebrooks and Brady Forbrook, Warner led the #24 team with precision and discipline — proving once again that attention to detail is the foundation of winning.

Looking Ahead to 2026
With the 2025 championship secured, Rico now turns the page.
In 2026, he joins Tony Stewart Racing, competing under one of the most respected banners in motorsports while retaining a High Limit Racing franchise. It’s the next step forward — made possible by years of doing things the right way.
Shared Passion. Proven Performance.
The 2025 Kubota High Limit Racing season will be remembered as the year Rico Abreu turned discipline into a title and preparation into a championship.
At Arc-Zone, our motorsports roots run deep. Racing taught us that winning championships doesn’t come from luck — it comes from specialized skills, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow a process every time. The same is true in welding. Just like a sprint car team preparing for victory, welders succeed when they have the right tools, a proven procedure, and the drive to perform at the highest level.
That’s why we stand behind Rico Abreu. His relentless pursuit of excellence — on and off the track — mirrors the standards we set for ourselves and the welders we serve. Whether it’s chasing a checkered flag or laying down the perfect bead, the formula is the same: preparation, precision, and passion lead to performance.
Different worlds. Same standards. Process equals performance.
